DSSRC Administrative Closure #23
DSSRC inquired into two Facebook posts disseminated by the salesforce of a direct selling company. The DSSRC expressed concern that the two social media posts unnecessarily referenced the COVID-19 crisis as an optimal opportunity to make money with the Company.
The Company immediately responded and informed DSSRC that it contacted the salesforce members responsible for the posts and explained DSSRC’s concerns. DSSRC was subsequently informed by the Company that its salesforce members complied with the request and removed the posts.
After DSSRC confirmed that the social media posts were removed, DSSRC thanked the Company for its voluntary actions to remove the posts and administratively closed the inquiry.
