DSSRC contacted a direct selling company about a social media post disseminated by one of the company’s salesforce members that makes product performance claims and references the current health crisis.
The direct selling company responded to DSSRC’s inquiry in less than an hour indicating that the social media post in question violated the company’s Policies and Procedures. The direct selling company was able to contact the salesforce member in question and have the claim removed from social media.
DSSRC expressed its appreciation to the company for its efforts in removing the post. As a result of the prompt actions taken by the company, DSSRC administratively closed the inquiry.
