The Children’s Advertising Review Unit has recommended that MGA Entertainment take steps to better depict adult supervision in future child-directed advertising for the “Lalaloopsy Baking Oven.” The company has said it will do so. -
4/28/2015 - CARU Recommends Bravo Sports Depict Safety Gear, Supervision in Future Scooter Ads Directed to Children Under 12
The Children’s Advertising Review Unit has recommended that Bravo Sports discontinue advertising certain Pulse Electric Scooters, recommended for children ages 13 and older, to children under 12. -
4/07/2015 - CARU Recommends Jump Start Modify Website, Revise Privacy Policy to Better Comply with Guidelines, COPPA
Jump Start, operator of the website www.schoolofdragons.com, said it will revise the site’s privacy practices and its privacy policy, following an inquiry from the Children’s Advertising Review Unit. -
3/18/2015 - CARU Recommends TOMY Modify Broadcast Advertising for ‘Battle Ready Pikachu,’ ‘Trainer Gloves;’ Company Agrees to Do So
The Children’s Advertising Review Unit has recommended that TOMY International modify broadcast advertising for Pokémon products to better disclose that its “Trainer Gloves” are not included with the purchase of the “Battle Ready Pikachu” toy. -

The Children’s Advertising Review Unit has recommended that Bandai America Inc., modify broadcast advertising for the company’s “Tamagotchi” toys to ” to adequately disclose that batteries are not included. -
2/25/2015 - CARU Examines Boy Scouts Sweepstakes Advertising, Recommends Modifications
The Children’s Advertising Review Unit has recommended that Boy Scouts of America (BSA) modify advertising for the “Boys Life Cybersearch Sweepstakes” to more clearly identify the odds of winning a $100 grand prize. -

11/20/2014 - CARU Recommends BSA Modify Website to Better Protect Children’s Privacy; BSA Agrees to Do So
The Children’s Advertising Review Unit has recommended that Boys Scouts of America modify its website, Boyslife.org, to assure that information collection practices are in compliance with CARU guidelines and the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
