Ken Patel currently serves as Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer for Procter & Gamble, and he is also P&G’s Chief Patent Counsel. Ken advises senior P&G management on all aspects of law related to compliance, ethics, privacy, cybersecurity,  as well as product-related law including advertising, product liability, intellectual property, regulatory, safety and quality, brand acquisitions/divestitures and business-related litigation.  Ken also serves as legal counsel to P&G’s Innovation & Technology Board Committee in addition to the Company’s Audit & Governance Committee. Ken previously had assignments in a variety of P&G businesses, including an assignment in Japan leading P&G’s Asia legal practice for IP. Ken joined P&G in 1993 and previously worked for the IP firm of Killworth, Gottman, which merged with Dinsmore & Shohl 15 years ago. Ken served as Adjunct Professor of Law for the University of Cincinnati Law School from where he received his law degree in 1990. Ken received a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University in 1986.
