8/15/2023 - National Advertising Division Finds One Claim for RevWood Flooring Supported and Recommends Other Claims be Discontinued; Mohawk to Appeal
New York, NY – August 15, 2023 – The National Advertising Division (NAD) determined that Mohawk Industries Inc.’s “Authentic imprint of Hardwood” claim for its RevWood laminate flooring product line was not misleading. However, NAD recommended that Mohawk discontinue the claims "Wood without compromise" and "The Perfect Wood for Your Home."

8/10/2023 - Coca-Cola Appeals National Advertising Division Recommendation to Discontinue or Modify Powerade “50% More Electrolytes” Claims
New York, NY – August 10, 2023 – The National Advertising Division (NAD) recommended that The Coca-Cola Company modify or discontinue claims for its Powerade sports drink stating “50% more electrolytes* vs the leading sports drink” and “50% more electrolytes vs. Gatorade Thirst Quencher.”

8/03/2023 - Following a National Advertising Division Challenge, Ginsey Adds Clarifying Disclosure to Advertising for its Antimicrobial Toilet Seats
New York, NY – August 3, 2023 – The National Advertising Division (NAD) determined that additional clarifying language was necessary to qualify claims made by Ginsey Industries regarding the antimicrobial protections provided by its Clorox Antimicrobial line of toilet seats.

New York, NY – August 2, 2023 – The National Advertising Division (NAD) of BBB National Programs determined that Danone US, LLC’s “50-calorie” claim for Dannon Light & Fit Zero Sugar products is substantiated.

7/28/2023 - Following NAD Challenge, Project Makeover Video Game Advertising Depicting Harmful Social Stereotypes is Discontinued
New York, NY – July 28, 2023 – Following a challenge brought by the National Advertising Division (NAD) as part of its routine monitoring program, Magic Tavern discontinued certain advertising used to promote a mobile video game called Project Makeover.

7/28/2023 - National Advertising Division Recommends Modification of Optimum Internet “Faster Download Speeds Than AT&T Nationwide” Claim
New York, NY – July 28, 2023 – In a challenge brought by AT&T Services, the National Advertising Division (NAD) recommended that Altice USA modify its advertising to avoid conveying the message that it has faster download speeds than AT&T in markets where Optimum Internet competes with AT&T.

7/27/2023 - NAD Finds Certain T-Mobile Device Financing Claims Supported; T-Mobile Appeals Recommendations to Discontinue or Modify Others
New York, NY – July 27, 2023 – In a challenge brought by AT&T Services, the National Advertising Division (NAD) determined that certain claims made by T-Mobile in its “Phone Freedom” advertising campaign were supported, but recommended that T-Mobile discontinue other comparative claims.

7/26/2023 - National Advertising Division Finds Dow Jones “Cancel Anytime” Claim for Wall Street Journal Subscription Supported
New York, NY – July 26, 2023 – The National Advertising Division (NAD) determined that Dow Jones & Company, Inc. supported its claim of “cancel anytime” relating to the methods by which consumers can cancel their subscription to The Wall Street Journal.

7/24/2023 - NAD Finds Certain Carbohydrate Claims for Olé Mexican Foods Tortillas Supported; Recommends Discontinuation of Other Claims
New York, NY – July 24, 2023 – The National Advertising Division (NAD) determined that Olé Mexican Foods, Inc. provided a reasonable basis for certain carbohydrate-related claims on its product packaging and website for La Banderita and Xtreme Wellness tortillas, but recommended Olé discontinue "carb lean" and "0 net carbs" claims.

7/12/2023 - NAD Finds Where Food Comes From CARE Certified Program Animal Welfare Claim Supported through Use of CARE Certified Seal on Beef and Pork Labels
New York, NY – July 12, 2023 – The National Advertising Division (NAD) determined that Where Food Comes From (WFCF) provided a reasonable basis for the implied animal welfare claim communicated through its “CARE Certified” Encircled Heart Seal on beef and pork labels and in advertising its certification for these products.
