Data Privacy Framework Services

Formerly BBB EU Privacy Shield

With the European Commission’s adequacy decision in July 2023, the Data Privacy Framework program replaces Privacy Shield and now serves as the primary mechanism for U.S. businesses to demonstrate compliance with data protection standards when processing the personal information of consumers from the European Union, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, or other participating countries. BBB National Programs' active participants will experience a seamless transition from Privacy Shield to the Data Privacy Framework Program.
