National Partners

National Partner Committees

National Partners make an impact by serving on program committees. These issue-specific committees enable you to shape our industry self-regulation programs and guide us as we create solutions to meet future industry needs. 

The Membership Committee 

All National Partners are automatically members of this committee. This group will provide feedback on the member experience, guidance for the annual membership conference, and explore additional opportunities to recruit, retain, and engage members. 

 

The National Advertising Outside Counsel Committee 

  • Eligibility: Open to law firm National Partners
  • Purpose: This committee provides feedback on the National Advertising Division and our children’s programs, including the Children’s Advertising Review Unit. This feedback includes, but is not limited to, a review of current processes, future opportunities in self-regulation, and reviews and comments on potential guidance development. 

The Children’s Issues Committee 

  • Eligibility: Open to corporate National Partners who are also Children’s Advertising Review Unit (CARU) Supporters or Children’s Food & Beverage Advertising Initiative (CFBAI) participants or any child- or teen-directed program.

  • Purpose: Members of this committee have an interest in advertising, food & beverage, and privacy issues related to children and/or teens and provide feedback on current processes and act as program ambassadors.

 

The National Advertising In-House Counsel Committee 

  • Eligibility: Open to corporate National Partners 

  • Purpose: This committee provides feedback and guidance to the National Advertising Division (NAD) and National Advertising Review Board (NARB), including input on current processes and recommendations on improvements to the NAD and NARB programs and the advertising challenge process. 

 

The Privacy Committee 

  • Eligibility: Open to all National Partners 

  • Purpose: This committee provides feedback and guidance to our BBB EU Privacy Shield program, Digital Advertising Accountability Program, and the PrivacyCollective. Members have an opportunity to review current processes, recommend improvements, act as program ambassadors, and examine other opportunities of interest in the larger privacy space. 

 

The Consumer Sales Committee 

  • Eligibility: Open to all corporate and law firm National Partners  

  • Purpose: This committee provides feedback and guidance to our direct selling programs, including input on current processes and recommendations for improvements. 

 

The Consumer Dispute Resolution Committee 

  • Eligibility: Open to all National Partners  

  • Purpose: This committee provides feedback and guidance to the automotive and telecom industry dispute resolution programs, such as BBB AUTO LINE. Participants review current processes, recommend improvements, and act as program ambassadors.
