Fitness Quest, Inc. Substantiates Claims In ERSP Forum

New York, NY – September 30, 2005 – The Electronic Retailing Self-Regulation Program (ERSP) announced that Fitness Quest, Inc. (Fitness Quest), marketers of the Ab-Lounge Abdominal Exercise Machine (Ab-Lounge) has substantiated the comparative claim reviewed pursuant to ERSP’s ongoing monitoring program.

ERSP, the electronic direct-response industry’s self-regulatory forum supervised by the National Advertising Review Council (NARC), asked Fitness Quest to provide substantiation for the core comparative claim:

“Proven in University testing to be better for your body. Compare the Ab -Lounge to an old fashioned crunch. The Ab – Lounge jackknife generates up to 75% more muscle activity in the upper and lower abdomen and an amazing 268% more in the love handle obliques.”

ERSP concluded that the testing data submitted by Fitness Quest provided a reasonable basis for the core comparative claim that is graphically depicted in the advertisement.

In response to the ERSP decision, Fitness Quest stated that it “…supports the ERSP self- regulatory process and thanks ERSP for its thorough and comprehensive review of the science presented as substantiation.”
