New York, NY – November 28, 2023 – In a challenge brought by T-Mobile, the National Advertising Division (NAD) recommended that Charter modify or discontinue certain Spectrum home internet service claims including those that distinguish Spectrum from T-Mobile’s wireless home internet services.

New York, NY – November 21, 2023 – Through its advertising monitoring program, the National Advertising Division (NAD) inquired about Glow Fairy advertising on the Beauty and Style Daily website, which included the claim “2023’s ‘5 Best’ Eye Creams on the Market.”

11/16/2023 - National Advertising Division Recommends SharkNinja Discontinue Claim that SpeedStyle Hair Dryer Results in “Up to 6x Less Frizz”
New York, NY – November 16, 2023 – In a Fast-Track SWIFT challenge, the National Advertising Division (NAD) recommended SharkNinja discontinue the claim that its SpeedStyle hair dryer results in “up to 6x less frizz” versus air drying.

11/15/2023 - National Advertising Division Finds RxSugar® Does Not Suggest Prescription Grade; Recommends Nutrishus Brands Discontinue or Modify Certain Other Claims
New York, NY – November 15, 2023 – The National Advertising Division (NAD) concluded that the brand name “RxSugar” does not suggest that the product is prescription grade, however, NAD recommended that Nutrishus Brands, Inc. modify or discontinue certain other claims.

New York, NY – November 6, 2023 – The National Advertising Division (NAD) determined that Oral Essentials provided a reasonable basis for its on-pack claim that Lumineux Whitening Strips “whitens without the sensitivity.”

New York, NY – November 2, 2023 – The National Advertising Division (NAD) recommended that DIRECTV either discontinue the challenged DIRECTV Sports Central claims or modify them to clearly and conspicuously disclose that additional subscriptions beyond a DIRECTV subscription are required to watch every pro football game.

New York, NY – October 31, 2023 – In a challenge brought by Bath & Body Works, the National Advertising Division (NAD) determined that the tagline “Bath, Body & Home” was not misleading, but recommended that Goose Creek modify or discontinue several other product performance and competitive claims.

10/24/2023 - Mint Mobile Appeals National Advertising Division Recommendation to Modify or Discontinue ”Unlimited Plan” and Disparaging Verizon Claims
New York, NY – October 24, 2023 – In a challenge brought by Verizon Communications, the National Advertising Division (NAD) recommended that Mint Mobile discontinue or modify the claim that its Unlimited Plan is “now just $15/mo.,” discontinue the claim that it “cut[s] out the cost of retail service and passed those sweet savings directly to you,” and discontinue falsely disparaging claims about Verizon’s services and business practices.
