7/29/2024 - National Advertising Division Finds Certain Claims for Shark Detect Pro Supported; Recommends SharkNinja Modify or Discontinue Others
New York, NY – July 29, 2024 – The National Advertising Division (NAD) determined that SharkNinja provided a reasonable basis for certain modified claims and the claim that the Shark Cordless Detect Pro Auto-Empty System base “holds dirt and debris for up to 30 days.” However, NAD recommended that SharkNinja discontinue or modify certain “50% better dirt pick up” claims and comparative cleaning claims vs. other Shark vacuums.

7/24/2024 - National Advertising Division Recommends Dr. Luke Healthcare Discontinue Treatment Claims for its Fungal Nail Renewal Product
New York, NY – July 24, 2024 – The National Advertising Division recommended Dr. Luke Healthcare discontinue certain claims for Dr. Luke’s Fungal Nail Renewal product, including health-related claims, natural claims, and claims that a doctor recommends the product or that it treats a medical condition.

7/17/2024 - National Advertising Division Finds Flag Image on Kendamil Infant Formula Packaging Conveys Supported Message about Products’ Origin
New York, NY – July 17, 2024 – In a Fast-Track SWIFT challenge, the National Advertising Division determined that use of a flag image on product packaging for Kendal Nutricare’s Kendamil infant formula reasonably conveys a supported message about the products’ origin.

7/16/2024 - In National Advertising Division Case, GuruNanda Voluntarily Discontinues Claims Made through Influencers for Coconut Pulling Oil Products
New York, NY – July 16, 2024 – The National Advertising Division has closed a Fast-Track SWIFT challenge regarding claims that GuruNanda’s coconut pulling oil products can “naturally reverse a cavity” and “reverse cavities.”

7/15/2024 - National Advertising Division Refers Health-Related Advertising Claims for Prolacta’s Human Milk Fortifier to Regulatory Agencies
New York, NY – July 15, 2024 – The National Advertising Division will refer advertising claims made by Prolacta Bioscience for its Human Milk Fortifier to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for review.

7/11/2024 - AT&T Appeals National Advertising Division Recommendation to Discontinue or Modify Claim that Supplemental Coverage from Space is Presently Available
New York, NY – July 11, 2024 – In a Fast-Track SWIFT challenge brought by T-Mobile, the National Advertising Division recommended that AT&T Services, Inc. discontinue or modify the claim that its Supplemental Coverage from Space (SCS) is presently available to consumers.

New York, NY – July 9, 2024 – In two Fast-Track SWIFT challenges brought by Move, Inc., the National Advertising Division recommended CoStar Group discontinue certain claims relating to the volume of traffic to CoStar’s website, Homes.com.

7/09/2024 - National Advertising Division Finds Certain Claims for Dawn Platinum Dishwashing Liquid Supported; Recommends Others be Modified or Discontinued
New York, NY – July 9, 2024 – The National Advertising Division determined that P&G supported its express Invisible Grease Claims as well as the implied claim, “Any difference in removal of grease and food residue between Dawn and Palmolive is meaningful to consumers” but recommended other challenged claims be discontinued or modified.

6/28/2024 - Following National Advertising Division Challenge, Afloia Direct Voluntarily Discontinues HEPA and H13 Standards Claims for Air Purifiers
New York, NY – June 28, 2024 – Following a BBB National Programs’ National Advertising Division challenge brought by competitor Vesync Corporation, Homintell Inc. voluntarily discontinued claims for various models of its air purifiers.

6/27/2024 - National Advertising Division Finds Certain Native Brand Personal Care Products Claims Supported; Recommends P&G Modify or Discontinue Others
New York, NY – June 27, 2024 – The National Advertising Division (NAD) determined that certain claims made by P&G for its Native brand of personal care products are supported, however, NAD recommended that P&G modify or discontinue use of “simple ingredients” when describing Native product ingredients for its deodorants, body washes, body lotion, conditioners, and shampoos and discontinue its “Born in the USA” claim.
