1/08/2024 - National Advertising Division Finds Certain Claims for Old Trapper Beef Jerky are Puffery, Recommends Superiority Claims be Modified or Discontinued
New York, NY – January 8, 2024 – The National Advertising Division (NAD) determined that in context, certain claims made by Old Trapper for its Smoked Beef Jerky are puffery. NAD recommended that Old Trapper discontinue the challenged ingredient claims to avoid conveying the message that they are using superior ingredients.

1/04/2024 - National Advertising Division Finds Certain Claims for ZenBusiness Supported; Recommends Other Claims be Modified or Discontinued
New York, NY – January 4, 2024 – The National Advertising Division (NAD) determined that ZenBusiness provided a reasonable basis for certain claims for its business services platform, but recommended that ZenBusiness discontinue or modify other challenged claims.

12/22/2023 - National Advertising Division Recommends IntelliBrands Discontinue Health-Related Claims for LegXercise Products
New York, NY – December 22, 2023 – The National Advertising Division (NAD) determined that IntelliBrands supported the claim that LegXercise causes movement and flexes the knee and ankle joints, but recommended that IntelliBrands discontinue multiple claims that LegExercise provides health benefits relating to circulation, blood flow, restlessness, pain, aches, relaxation, cramps, tingling, swelling, mobility, walking, weak legs, coldness, discoloration, effective exercise, and overall health.

12/20/2023 - In National Advertising Division Challenge, Pretty Litter, Inc. Voluntarily Discontinues Certain Comparative Claims for Its Cat Litter
New York, NY – December 20, 2023 – In a National Advertising Division (NAD) challenge brought by The Clorox Company, Pretty Litter voluntarily discontinued the challenged comparative advertising claims for its cat litter, including that Fresh Step® clay litter “doesn’t absorb odor, making your home stink.”

New York, NY – December 8, 2023 – The National Advertising Division (NAD) determined SharkNinja provided a reasonable basis for certain Shark Wandvac claims, but recommended certain other claims, such as those that expressly identify the Wandvac base as “HEPA-sealed,” be modified or discontinued.
