Ferrara Joins the Children’s Food and Beverage Advertising Initiative Pledge Program
McLean, VA – October 31, 2023 – The BBB National Programs Children’s Food and Beverage Advertising Initiative (CFBAI) welcomes Ferrara Candy Company as the newest participant in the food advertising pledge program. Ferrara has pledged to not engage in advertising primarily directed to children under age 13. Ferrara’s CFBAI pledge is effective as of October 1, 2023.
Starting with 10 companies in 2007, CFBAI now includes 22 leading U.S. food, beverage, and quick-serve restaurant companies. CFBAI participants have committed to ongoing improvement in the children’s food advertising landscape by adhering to CFBAI’s Core Principles.
Prior to joining CFBAI, Ferrara participated in CFBAI’s sister program designed for smaller confectionery companies, the Children’s Confection Advertising Initiative. Ferrara’s pledge covers all brands and products in the Ferrara portfolio including SweetTarts, Laffy Taffy, Trolli, and Nerds.
