Direct Selling Self-Regulatory Council Refers Jeunesse Earnings and Product Performance Claims to the FTC and Florida Attorney General’s Office
McLean, VA – February 10, 2025 – The Direct Selling Self-Regulatory Council (DSSRC) of BBB National Programs has referred direct selling company Velovita, Inc. d/b/a Jeunesse Global Holdings, LLC to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Florida Attorney General’s Office for possible enforcement action. The referral comes after Jeunesse failed to respond to DSSRC’s inquiry requesting substantiation for certain earnings and health-related product performance claims made by Jeunesse and its salesforce members.
DSSRC is an independent national advertising self-regulation program that monitors advertising and marketing claims in the direct selling industry. Jeunesse is a direct selling company that markets health, wellness, and beauty products that focus on anti-aging and improving overall well-being.
Jeunesse did not respond to DSSRC’s ongoing requests for substantiation of the claims at issue after multiple communications were sent to both Jeunesse and its parent company, Velovita, via USPS 2-day mail and email.
Pursuant to the DSSRC Policies & Procedures, if a direct selling company does not respond to a Notice of Inquiry within 15 business days, DSSRC will send follow-up correspondence providing an additional 10 business days to respond, noting that if the advertiser fails to respond to the 10-day notice, the matter will be referred to the appropriate government agency.
After multiple attempts, Jeunesse has failed to respond to DSSRC’s requests to participate in the self-regulatory forum. Pursuant to DSSRC Policies and Procedures, Jeunesse has now been referred to the FTC and the Florida Attorney General’s Office for possible enforcement action.
