Direct Selling Self-Regulatory Council Recommends LoveBiome Discontinue Certain Earnings and Health-Related Product Claims
McLean, VA – December 8, 2025 – The Direct Selling Self-Regulatory Council (DSSRC) of BBB National Programs recommended that Global Organics Merchants, LLC d/b/a LoveBiome modify or discontinue certain earnings and health-related product performance claims shared by salesforce members on Facebook, Instagram, and LoveBiome’s website.
The advertising claims were made by LoveBiome, a direct selling company that markets products targeting the microbiome health/gut wellness space. This inquiry was commenced by DSSRC through its ongoing independent monitoring of advertising and marketing claims in the direct selling industry.
In this case, DSSRC was concerned that the earnings claims communicated the message that the typical LoveBiome salesforce member can earn significant income and incentives through the LoveBiome business opportunity and that LoveBiome products can effectively treat several health conditions.

LoveBiome did not attempt to support the earnings or product performance claims. Instead, it used its best efforts to remove the posts and claims. Through these efforts, LoveBiome was able to remove nine of the earnings claims and two of the product performance claims identified by DSSRC.
With respect to the earnings claims that remain available to the public, DSSRC recommended that LoveBiome take appropriate action—such as suspension or termination—against any active salesforce members who fail to remove noncompliant posts. For inactive members, DSSRC requested LoveBiome provide documentation of its good-faith efforts to contact the salesforce members and social media platforms requesting removal of the posts. Additionally, DSSRC advised LoveBiome to revise or remove website references to incentive trips that could be perceived as “free” and/or to include clear disclosures clarifying the terms and conditions of such incentives.
With respect to the product performance claims at issue, DSSRC acknowledged LoveBiome’s good-faith efforts to remove noncompliant social media posts, but recommended that, lacking competent and reliable scientific evidence, LoveBiome discontinue the health-related claims for its PhytoPower W and PhytoPower T products currently displayed on its website.
In its statement, LoveBiome indicated that it “actively supports industry self-regulation” and “has taken prompt action to address the remaining items.”
