Direct Selling Self-Regulatory Council Recommends MWR Life Modify or Discontinue Certain Salesforce Earnings Claims

McLean, VA – November 12, 2025 – The Direct Selling Self-Regulatory Council (DSSRC) of BBB National Programs recommended that MWR Life, LLC, a multi-level direct selling company that offers discounts on travel services, modify or discontinue earnings claims made by MWR Life salesforce members.

The earnings claims at issue were identified by DSSRC through its ongoing, independent monitoring of advertising claims in the direct selling industry.

The earnings claims that formed the basis of this inquiry include, but are not limited to the following “significant earnings” and “financial freedom” claims:
  • “I didn’t sign up right away… and now, just two months later, I’ve seen MWR Life change the lives of so many people — including mine. …  All we know is: every time we open our back office — money’s there… #FinancialFreedom”
  • “…daily payouts, unlimited team commissions, and the ability over time to build generous weekly residual income, the model provides a clear path to achieve financial success, regardless of experience.”
  • “Real freedom, real income— whether it’s booking more getaways or creating financial breathing room, this is about you, not quotas… I’m here to show you how to book your dream trip, no gimmicks attached.”
  • “Five years from now, I see it so clearly—a life of financial independence, global travel, and deep connections… Luxury travel on my terms… #FinancialIndependence”
  • “Through this incredible opportunity, I am dedicated to helping individuals realize their dreams and break free from financial struggles. I focus on empowering families and single mothers to explore the world, create unforgettable memories, and build a brighter future.”
  • “Just think how your life could change with an extra income coming in every week… How you could take vacation with your family and get paid doing it.
  • How you could save money on hotels with kids in sports. How you could take that honeymoon you never got around to.”
  • “This isn't just about financial freedom; it's about creating a life rich in experiences, connections, and personal satisfaction. This is what it's about. One question I have for you, would you rather have financial freedom or look out that office window while making someone else rich?”
  • “I knew I needed to create more than just a paycheck... I needed a path to freedom — financial freedom… And I want to build a life where we’re not just getting by, but truly living.”
  • “Stop walking through Life blind, so that you can see the Opportunities in front of you‼️ Financial Freedom is a must ”
  • “…insight into the innovative Travel Advantage platform, the future of MWR Life, and how the business promotes personal growth, financial freedom, and a sense of community from our CEO.”
  • “If financial and time freedom are on your list, it is our goal to help you achieve your goal. Ask us how…#freedomlifestylenetwork… #financialfreedom”
  • “Today, my online business offers me financial, time, and geographical freedom I never imagined. I can choose when and where I work while generating a steady income.”

DSSRC was concerned that the challenged claims communicated the message that the typical MWR Life salesforce member can generally expect to earn significant income from the MWR Life business opportunity.

Upon receipt of DSSRC’s inquiry, MWR Life launched a thorough internal review of the posts and materials in question and took several actions, such as content removal, issuing compliance reminders to salesforce members, enhancing ongoing training materials, and updating its terms and conditions and code of conduct to include specific language related to earnings claims.

As a result of MWR Life’s content removal, six of the 17 claims identified were removed from social media, however 11 claims remained accessible to the public. Six of the remaining posts were disseminated by active salesforce members, none of the six responded to MWR Life’s request for removal of the posts, and only one of those salesforce members had their account terminated as a result.

DSSRC recommends MWR Life take several steps to demonstrate its commitment to removing the claims from public view, including contacting Facebook to advise the platform of the unauthorized posts and request they be taken down, and taking action against the active salesforce members who were unresponsive to MWR Life’s request for claim removal, which could include termination of their salesforce member account. MWR Life did report to Facebook the claims posted by three individuals not affiliated with MWR Life.

Several of the challenged claims, such as “Unleash Your Potential and Achieve Financial Independence,” appeared on MWR Life’s website with no additional information to qualify such claims or to provide the number or percentage of salesforce members who typically earn such incentives. DSSRC determined that the claims on the website were not adequately supported and recommended they be discontinued.

In addition, MWR Life’s video on its website was revised to remove certain problematic “financial freedom” language, however the video continues to claim that the MWR Life salesforce members are “earning a great living,” which DSSRC determined may be interpreted as representing typical earnings. Without substantiation, DSSRC recommended this language be discontinued.

DSSRC appreciates MWR Life’s cooperation in this inquiry and will continue to monitor MWR Life for compliance with its recommendations as well as for earnings claims disseminated by MWR Life and its salesforce members. If warranted, DSSRC will initiate a compliance inquiry should additional unsubstantiated earnings representations be identified.

In its statement, MWR Life said that it “appreciates the opportunity to participate in the DSSRC self-regulatory process and will comply with the recommendations contained in the report.”
