PrivacyCollective is a community of privacy experts coming together to discuss novel topics in the evolving privacy landscape, identify specific risks and unfolding uncertainties, share insights and the challenges that keep us up at night, and craft solutions. Our roundtable discussions embrace the Chatham House Rule to encourage open dialogue about the challenges we face interpreting and implementing new privacy practices, such as those required under CCPA, while pivoting compliance operations to reflect these unprecedented times.


The Schedule

July 14 at 2:00-3:30 p.m. ET

Kickoff keynote to set the stage, with personal insights from Ruby Zefo, Chief Privacy Officer at Uber, and Justin Antonipillai, Founder and CEO of WireWheel.

August 2020

Roundtables will be held August 6, 13, and 20 and will be 90 minutes each (2:00-3:30 p.m. ET). Currently, these roundtables are sold out.


These collaborative discussions bring businesses and practitioners together to identify and prioritize the real-world implementation challenges we face every day. The goal of these highly-interactive discussions is to identify potential solutions to ongoing compliance challenges and the steps we need to take to get there, such as new codes of conduct, self-regulatory programs, or standardized compliance tools.




Roundtables will Feature:

A Chatham House Rule setting where attendees will have a safe environment to openly discuss their privacy challenges, how they meet them, and possible solutions. Roundtables will be held August 6, 13, and 20 and will be 90 minutes each. The discussion at each will be the same so you will register for the date that works best for you. Each roundtable is capped at 15 individuals. Any individuals that do not make the cut-off will join a wait list and added to the roundtables as space allows. Additional sessions will be added to accommodate overflow.

Discussion around the real-world implementation challenges we face every day, which may include:


  • Verifying consumer identity without increasing privacy risk

  • Coordinating consumer requests among multiple vendors

  • Delivering effective and accessible notice without sacrificing privacy policy compliance

  • Negotiating data processing agreements

  • Navigating the unique privacy needs of children and teens

  • Demonstrating compliance with conflicting—or uncertain—regulatory requirements

  • Preparing for what comes next
