Case Number 84-2022: Monitoring Inquiry – Navan Global

Company Description

Navan Global (or the Company) was a multilevel marketing company located in Franklin, Tennessee, that manufactures and distributes health and CBD-related products.

Basis of Inquiry

The Direct Selling Self-Regulatory Council (“DSSRC”) is a national advertising self-regulation program administered by BBB National Programs. This inquiry was commenced by DSSRC pursuant to its ongoing independent monitoring of advertising and marketing claims in the direct selling industry.

This inquiry concerned one earnings claim and several product claims disseminated by Company salesforce members. The representative claims that formed the basis of this inquiry were located on the Facebook and Instagram accounts of Company salesforce members. Those claims are set forth below:

Earnings Claim

Product Performance Claims

DSSRC expressed its concern that the social media posts appear to communicate that salesforce members typically earn significant income from the Navan Global business opportunity and that the Company’s products can treat a number of serious health-related conditions.

Administrative Closure

Navan Global did not substantively respond to DSSRC’s Notice of Inquiry. Subsequently, DSSRC contacted the former CEO of Navan Global and was informed that the Company ceased business operations in April 2022.

DSSRC confirmed that Navan Global is no longer distributing products and that the representation made by its former CEO that the Company ceased its business operations is consistent with information that has been made publicly available. DSSRC verified that the Navan Global website has been disabled, there has been no activity on the company Facebook page since February 2021, and the public telephone number listed for the company is no longer in service.

Conclusion

Based on the forgoing, DSSRC administratively closed this inquiry as the Company has terminated its business operations.
