DSSRC Administrative Closure #188

The Direct Selling Self-Regulatory Council (“DSSRC”) contacted a direct selling company (the “Company”) regarding three social media posts made by international salesforce members of the Company. DSSRC expressed its concerns that the three posts, while originating outside of the United States, communicated the message that the Company's products are effective in the treatment of COVID-19.

DSSRC acknowledges the difficulties often encountered by Companies when attempting to contact and communicate with international salesforce members. Nonetheless, the Company immediately responded to DSSRC’s concerns and was able to promptly effectuate the removal of all three posts.

As a result of the Company’s immediate, good faith actions to address DSSRC’s concerns, DSSRC administratively closed this inquiry.
