The Children’s Advertising Review Unit (CARU) Annual Conference, CARU 2023, was dedicated to convening advertising and privacy professionals in the children’s space. In 2023, attendees gathered for an open, in-depth, and in-person Chatham House Rule conversation addressing the two most pressing challenges in the children’s space today: 

  • The real-world implications of proposed and passed state and federal policy
  • Positioning one’s business for success while navigating the platform wild west

From Legislation to Enforcement: Attendees heard from current and former government officials and other experts as they discussed the proposed and passed policies impacting the children’s advertising world and the real-world scenarios uncovered when concept becomes reality in enforcement.
