The Changing Narrative
In policy, in the media, on platforms, and around the world lines are blurred between a child, a youth, a kid, and a teen. Creating an online or mobile experience that is both appealing for a teen but includes proper protections for a child under the age of 13 is a big ask of brands looking to engage with either audience. From parental controls to age verification, how do you achieve your goals and stay compliant when the tools that you need often don’t yet exist on emerging platforms?
This year, through keynote sessions followed by discussion groups, join experts, lawyers, advocates, academics, and other colleagues to discuss how this changing narrative has opened the door to challenges positioning brands in the children’s space in seemingly impossible situations. At this in-person event we will dive into those challenges, discuss best practices, and find the path forward as we look to the future.
This Year's Conference
The Children’s Advertising Review Unit (CARU) Annual Conference, CARU 2023, is the only event dedicated to convening advertising and privacy professionals in the children’s space. And as the children’s landscape changes, the CARU Conference changes with it.
This year, join us for an open, in-depth, and in-person Chatham House Rule conversation addressing the two most pressing challenges in the children’s space today:
- The real-world implications of proposed and passed state and federal policy
- Positioning your business for success while navigating the platform wild west
BBB National Programs’ Children’s Advertising Review Unit (CARU) hosts this annual conference, which provides cutting-edge content on children’s issues, not only to advertising and privacy professionals, but also academics, content creators, and attorneys.
View and share with your colleagues these reasons to attend.
