3/20/2014 - NARB Panel Finds Mascara Ad is Not ‘Literally False’ if Use of Lash Inserts is Appropriately Disclosed; Recommends L’Oreal Modify Disclaimer for ‘Rocket’ Mascara
A five-member panel of the National Advertising Review Board (NARB) has determined that photographs accompanying mascara advertising by L’Oréal USA, Inc., are not “literally false” if the model’s use of lash inserts is appropriately disclosed to consumers and the photograph accurately shows the effect of the advertised mascara on the model’s eyelashes – both real and inserted. -
1/09/2014 - NARB Panel Recommends Unilever Discontinues Certain Claims, Barbed-Wire Imagery for ‘Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash’
A five-member panel of the National Advertising Review Board (NARB) has recommended that Unilever United States, Inc., discontinue certain advertising claims for the company’s “Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash,” and discontinue the use of barbed wire in imagery of competing products. -

The National Advertising Review Board has recommended that Healthy Directions, LLC, discontinue certain advertising claims for the company’s Joint Advantage Gold dietary supplement, including claims that the product eases pain in seven days and is made with ingredients traditionally used by the Aboriginal people of Australia. -
