5/16/2023 - National Advertising Division Finds Certain Claims for Xfinity Home Internet Service Supported; Recommends Comcast Modify or Discontinue Others
New York, NY – May 16, 2023 – The National Advertising Division (NAD) determined that certain claims made by Comcast for its Xfinity home internet were supported. However, NAD recommended that Comcast modify or discontinue other Xfinity home internet service claims, as well as claims for Xfinity’s mobile service.

5/12/2023 - Children’s Advertising Review Unit Finds Roblox in Violation of Its Advertising Guidelines; Recommends Modifications and Compliance Monitoring
McLean, VA – May 12, 2023 – The Children’s Advertising Review Unit (CARU) has found Roblox in violation of CARU Advertising Guidelines for responsible advertising to children under age 13. This case also reviewed privacy concerns that will be addressed with Roblox's COPPA Safe Harbor.

New York, NY – May 3, 2023 – The National Advertising Division (NAD) determined that certain claims made by My Patriot Supply (MPS) for its Long-Term Survival Food Kits and related products were supported and certain challenged advertisements did not convey any misleading implied messages.

5/02/2023 - National Advertising Division Finds “Verizon Is the Number One Network Choice in Public Safety” Claim in Verizon Frontline Commercial Supported
New York, NY – May 2, 2023 – In a Fast-Track SWIFT challenge brought by AT&T, the National Advertising Division (NAD) determined that the claim “Verizon is the number one network choice in public safety,” made by Verizon in a commercial for its Verizon Frontline service, is supported.

5/02/2023 - Direct Selling Self-Regulatory Council Finds Magnetude Jewelry on Path to Advertising Compliance
McLean, VA – May 2, 2023 – The Direct Selling Self-Regulatory Council (DSSRC) opened a compliance inquiry to review advertising from Magnetude Jewelry following a case from 2021 concerning earnings and product claims and found Magnetude Jewelry on the path to compliance.

4/27/2023 - National Advertising Division Refers ViiV Healthcare’s DOVATO HIV Medication Claims to FDA and FTC for Review
New York, NY – April 27, 2023 – The National Advertising Division (NAD) referred advertising claims made by ViiV Healthcare Company for its DOVATO® single-tablet HIV treatment medication to the FDA and FTC after the company did not participate in the self-regulatory process.

4/27/2023 - National Advertising Division Finds Certain Shark Stratos Vacuum Claims Supported; Shark Appeals NAD Recommendations to Discontinue or Modify Other Claims
New York, NY – April 27, 2023 – The National Advertising Division (NAD) determined that certain “no hair wrap” claims made by SharkNinja for its Shark Stratos Powered Lift-Away upright vacuum were supported. However, NAD recommended that Shark discontinue or modify other claims for the Stratos vacuum related to its superior hair pick-up ability, odor-neutralizing technology, and superior suction.

4/26/2023 - National Advertising Division Recommends Charter Discontinue or Modify Speed Claim for Spectrum Speed Boost
New York, NY – April 26, 2023 – In a Fast-Track SWIFT challenge brought by AT&T, the National Advertising Division (NAD) recommended that Charter discontinue the claim that “Only Spectrum gives you Speed Boost, for the fastest wireless speeds in the palm of your hand” or modify the advertising to disclose the material conditions necessary to obtain the benefits of Speed Boost.

4/25/2023 - National Advertising Division Recommends T-Mobile Discontinue “Don’t You Worry ‘Bout Speed” Claim for T-Mobile Home Internet Service
New York, NY – April 25, 2023 – In a Fast-Track SWIFT challenge brought by Comcast Cable Communications Management, LLC, the National Advertising Division (NAD) recommended that T-Mobile discontinue the “Don’t you worry ‘bout speed” claim in reference to T-Mobile’s Home Internet (T-HINT) service. -
4/25/2023 - National Advertising Division Recommends T-Mobile Home Internet Commercial be Discontinued or Modified to Avoid Implied Message of Fast 5G Speeds
New York, NY – April 25, 2023 – In a Fast-Track SWIFT challenge brought by Charter Communications, Inc., the National Advertising Division (NAD) recommended that T-Mobile discontinue or modify the challenged commercial to avoid conveying the implied message that all T-Mobile Home Internet (T-HINT) users will receive fast 5G speeds.
