A panel of the National Advertising Review Board (NARB) recommended that Smile Prep, LLC discontinue certain ranking and performance claims, avoid conveying messages regarding preferential treatment to affiliate partners and that its rankings and reviews are objective, and clearly disclose Smile Prep's claims that are advertising.

4/11/2023 - National Advertising Review Board Recommends Molson Coors Discontinue “Light Beer Shouldn’t Taste Like Water” Claim in Two Advertisements
New York, NY – April 11, 2023 – A panel of the National Advertising Review Board (NARB), the appellate body of BBB National Programs, recommended that Molson Coors Beverage Company discontinue the claim that “light beer shouldn’t taste like water. It should taste like beer” in the context of two challenged advertisements promoting Miller Lite.

4/05/2023 - National Advertising Division Recommends Cocofloss Discontinue or Modify Comparative Claim vs. “Flat Slippery Floss”
New York, NY – April 5, 2023 – In a Fast-Track SWIFT challenge brought by P&G, the National Advertising Division (NAD) recommended that Cocofloss discontinue a claim for its Cocofloss brand of woven dental floss or modify its advertising to avoid conveying the unsupported message that floss such as P&G’s Glide Floss is ineffective.

New York, NY – April 5, 2023 – In a Fast-Track SWIFT challenge brought by AT&T Services, the National Advertising Division (NAD) determined that Charter Communications substantiated the “most consistent download speeds” claim for its Spectrum Internet service.

New York, NY – March 23, 2023 – In a challenge brought by AT&T Services, Inc., the National Advertising Division (NAD) recommended that T-Mobile, U.S., Inc. discontinue advertising claims that its wireless service has the most reliable 5G network according to the third-party testing company, umlaut.

3/16/2023 - National Advertising Review Board Recommends American Beverage Association Modify Certain Environmental Benefit Claims for “Every Bottle Back” Initiative
New York, NY – March 16, 2023 – A panel of the National Advertising Review Board (NARB) recommended that the American Beverage Association (ABA) modify certain aspirational claims regarding the use of recycled materials in bottles, as well as claims relating to ABA’s partnerships with non-profit organizations and efforts to achieve sustainability goals.

3/16/2023 - Comcast Appeals National Advertising Division Recommendation to Modify or Discontinue Certain Advertising Claims for Xfinity Mobile
New York, NY – March 16, 2023 – In a challenge brought by AT&T, the National Advertising Division (NAD) recommended that Comcast Cable modify claims that its Xfinity Mobile service is the “fastest mobile service;” discontinue its “most reliable,” “highest ranked,” and “best network” claims for Xfinity Mobile; and clearly and conspicuously disclose that an Xfinity Internet subscription is required for Xfinity’s mobile service.
