The National Advertising Division has recommended DKB Household USA Corp., discontinue the advertising claims for the company’s Zyliss SwiftDry Salad Spinner that were challenged by OXO International, Ltd., the maker of a competing product. -
5/29/2018 - NAD Recommends Bobsweep USA Discontinue Certain Claims for Bob PetHair Robotic Vacuum Following iRobot Challenge
The National Advertising Division has recommended that Bobsweep USA, maker of the Bob PetHair robotic vacuum, discontinue the advertising claims challenged by iRobot, Corp., a competing maker of robotic vacuums. -
5/22/2018 - NAD Recommends Epson America Discontinue Certain Claims for 3LCD Digital Projectors, Finds Certain Claims Supported
The National Advertising Division has recommended that Epson America, Inc., discontinue claims that its 3LCD digital projectors are “3x Brighter,” but determined that Epson could continue to promote color brightness based on “Color Light Output” or CLO. -
5/21/2018 - NAD Refers Conair’s ‘Most Trusted’ Claim to FTC After Company Declines to Participate in a Review of Challenged Advertising
The National Advertising Division has referred to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) the advertising claim made by Conair Corporation that its Cuisinart brand is “The Most Trusted Name in the Kitchen.” -
5/21/2018 - NAD Recommends T-Mobile Discontinue ‘Best Unlimited Network’ Claim; Advertiser to Appeal
The National Advertising Division has recommended that T-Mobile USA, Inc., discontinue its “Best Unlimited Network” advertising claims. T-Mobile said it will appeal NAD’s decision to the National Advertising Review Board. -
5/16/2018 - NAD Recommends Diversey Discontinue Certain Claims for Cryovac Resealable Storage Bags Following Challenge by S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc.
The National Advertising Division has recommended that Diversey, Inc., discontinue certain challenged advertising claims for the company’s Cryovac reusable storage bags. -
5/15/2018 - NAD Recommends Colgate-Palmolive Discontinue ‘100%’ Grease Removal Claim for Ajax Ultra after P&G Challenge, but Won’t Recommend Product Name Change
The National Advertising Division has recommended that Colgate-Palmolive Company discontinue claims that Ajax Ultra Dish Liquid provides “100% Grease Removal.” -
5/09/2018 - NAD Recommends Carma Laboratories Discontinue Certain Challenged Claims for Carmex Cold Sore Treatment
The National Advertising Division has recommended that Carma Laboratories, Inc., discontinue certain challenged advertising claims for the company’s Carmex Cold Sore Treatment, including claims that the product works “immediately,” treats symptoms on contact or heals cold sores.
