The National Advertising Division recommended that Envirocon Technologies discontinue certain claims for the company’s “Lemi Shine” dishwasher products, but determined the advertiser could support a claim that its rinse product contains a natural active ingredient. -
1/30/2013 - NAD Finds Sea Foam’s Laboratory Testing is Sufficient to Support Certain Advertising Claims Challenged by ITW Global Brands
The National Advertising Division has determined that the Sea Foam Sales can support certain advertising claims made for the company’s Sea Foam Motor Treatment, a product made for use in both automotive and small engines. NAD further recommended the advertiser discontinue certain claims. -
1/22/2013 - NAD Recommends Nature’s Answer Discontinue Claims for its ‘Bio-Strath’ Supplement, Including Claims Related to Pregnancy, Disease, ADD-ADHD
The National Advertising Division has recommended that Nature’s Answer, LLC, discontinue a wide range of Internet advertising claims for “Bio-Strath,” including claims that the supplement benefits children with ADD/ADHD, pregnant women, people recovering from cancer treatments, people with dementia and people with diabetes. -

The National Advertising Division has referred to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) advertising claims made by Hisamitsu America, Inc., manufacturer of Salonpas Brand Pain Relief products. -
1/16/2013 - NAD Finds P&G Took Necessary Action in Discontinuing Claims Challenged by Libman
The Procter and Gamble Company said it has permanently discontinued advertising claims and product demonstrations that were challenged before the National Advertising Division by The Libman Company, a competing manufacturer of household cleaning products. -
1/14/2013 - NAD Finds Rainbow Light Took Necessary Action in Discontinuing Claims for ‘Omega Skin & Mood’ Supplement
The National Advertising Division has determined that Rainbow Light Nutritional Systems has removed from its website advertising for the company’s Omega Skin & Mood dietary supplements, action that NAD had concluded was necessary and appropriate. -
1/10/2013 - NAD Finds Fareportal Cannot Support Certain Claims Made at CheapOair.com, CheapOstay.com Websites
The National Advertising Division has recommended that Fareportal, operator of the online travel websites CheapOair.com and CheapOstay.com, modify or discontinue certain comparative savings claims made for airfares posted to the sites. -

Proactive Life, LLC., has agreed to permanently discontinue a wide range of advertising claims for its “Diabetes Support” dietary supplement, including claims that the product lowers the risk of stroke. -

1/03/2013 - NAD Refers Advertising for ‘Adams Flea & Tick Spot On’ to FTC, EPA for Review After Company Declines to Modify, Discontinue Certain Claims
The National Advertising Division has referred to the Federal Trade Commission and Environmental Protection Agency advertising claims made by Farnam Pet Products for its Adams Flea & Tick Spot On for Dogs. The company has declined to abide by NAD’s recommendations that it modify or discontinue certain advertising claims, including claims that the product “starts to kill fleas and ticks in 15 minutes.”
