The National Advertising Division recommended that Comcast Communications Inc., discontinue unqualified claims that XFINITY Internet service is the “fastest in the nation.” -
5/24/2012 - LeapFrog Challenges Ad Claims for VTech’s InnoTab Computer Tablet
The National Advertising Division has determined that because VTech North America LLC has made voluntary modifications to its InnoTab computer tablet, the message conveyed by advertising claims that promote the tablet’s capabilities is not misleading. -
5/22/2012 - NAD Recommends Ocean Spray Discontinue Certain Claims
The National Advertising Division has recommended Ocean Spray Cranberries, Inc., discontinue certain implied claims for Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice, including claims that the sodium content of a competing juice is alarmingly high. The advertiser has said it will appeal NAD’s findings to the National Advertising Review Board (NARB.) -
5/18/2012 - NAD Recommends Dreambrands Discontinue Claims for ‘Add Lib’ Supplement
The National Advertising Division has recommended Dreambrands, Inc., modify or discontinue a wide range of advertising claims for “Add Lib,” a dietary supplement promoted to women for improved mood, energy and sexual desire. -
5/08/2012 - NAD Refers Advertising for Energizer’s Schick Hydro Razor to FTC
The National Advertising Division has referred advertising claims made by Energizer Personal Care, LLC, to the Federal Trade Commission following a second compliance review of advertising claims made for the company’s Schick Hydro Razor. -
5/08/2012 - NAD Recommends Allstate Discontinue Certain Claims in ‘Mayhem’ Campaign
The National Advertising Division has recommended that Allstate Insurance Company discontinue certain advertising claims made in its “Mayhem” advertising campaign, and modify additional claims. NAD determined, however, that the company could support one challenged claim, as well as the tagline: “Shop less. Get more. Make one call to an Allstate agent.” -
4/26/2012 - NAD Finds CyberDefender Acted Properly in Discontinuing All Advertising at Issue in NAD Inquiry
The National Advertising Division has determined that CyberDefender Corporation has taken necessary and proper action in discontinuing all advertising claims challenged before NAD by Ascentive, LLC. -
4/23/2012 - NAD Finds Chipotle Can Support Implied Claims In ‘Back to the Start’ Sustainable Farming Campaign
The National Advertising Division has determined that Chipotle Mexican Grill can support implied claims made in an animated feature, “Back to the Start,” that all animals which provide the meat for Chipotle products are naturally raised.

4/11/2012 - NAD Again Finds Nilfisk-Advance Violated NAD Procedures Through Use of a Decision for Promotional Purposes
The National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus has determined that Nilfisk-Advance, Inc., a maker of commercial floor-cleaning equipment, violated the procedures that govern the advertising industry’s system of self-regulation by issuing a press release that uses the NAD process or its findings for promotional purposes. NAD made a similar determination regarding the conduct of Nilfisk-Advance in March. -
4/11/2012 - NAD RECOMMENDS ORACLE DISCONTINUE CERTAIN COMPARATIVE PRICING CLAIMS AGAINST IBM
The National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus has recommended that Oracle Corporation discontinue certain pricing and comparative performance claims for the Oracle SPARC SuperCluster T4-4 computer system.
