The National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus has recommended that Hepcare, Inc., discontinue certain advertising claims for the company’s Hepzone SST dietary supplement, including the claim that the product is “especially useful for consumers who have failed conventional liver care.” -
12/17/2008 - L’Oreal USA, Procter & Gamble Participate In NAD Forum
The National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus has determined that a packaging claim made by L’Oreal USA for its L’Oreal Excellence Crème hair coloring product is a non-comparative claim of general excellence, a message NAD determined was supported by the advertiser’s evidence. -

The National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus has recommended that Michelin North America Inc., modify disclosures and discontinue certain advertising claims. -
12/15/2008 - NAD Examines Advertising for Campbell’s Tomato Juice from Concentrate
The National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus has determined that Campbell Soup Company provided adequate substantiation for advertising claims made for “Campbell’s Tomato Juice from Concentrate.” -
12/15/2008 - Mars Petcare U.S., Hill’s Pet Nutrition Participate In NAD Forum
The National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus has recommended that Mars Petcare U.S., Inc., the maker of Nutro Products brand Natural Choice Complete Care Dry Cat Food, discontinue the advertising claim “Veterinarian Recommended.” NAD determined, however, that the advertiser could support the nutritional claim “Everything Your Cat Needs in One Bag.” -
12/08/2008 - NAD Examines Advertising For GP Plastics Corp. “Polygreen” Plastic Bags
The National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus has recommended that GP Plastics Corp., the maker of PolyGreen plastic bags for the newspaper industry, modify or discontinue certain advertising claims for its PolyGreen plastic bags. The company has said it will appeal NAD’s findings to the National Advertising Review Board. -
12/05/2008 - Following Second Compliance Review, NAD Refers Advertising From Goodman Global To FTC
The National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus has referred advertising from Goodman Global to the Federal Trade Commission for further review. -
12/04/2008 - NAD Examines Advertising For Park Labs “Reparagen”
The National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus has determined that Park Labs LLC, has provided reasonable support for certain advertising claims made for the company’s Life Fitness Reparagen + Glucosamine dietary supplement. However, NAD has recommended the company modify or discontinue certain claims, including the claim that the product is “guaranteed to help in 7 days.” -
11/25/2008 - NAD Examines Advertising for Nutrition 21
The National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus has recommended that Nutrition 21, Inc., the marketer of Core4Life Advanced Memory Formula (AMF), modify or discontinue certain advertising claims. -
11/25/2008 - NAD Examines Advertising for Verizon’s Fios Following Cablevision Challenge
The National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus has recommended that Verizon Services Corporation modify or discontinue certain advertising claims made for the company’s FiOS service, following a challenge by CSC Holdings, Inc., the parent company of Cablevision. NAD did find that certain superior sound and picture quality claims made by Verizon were substantiated.
