The Children’s Advertising Review Unit has determined that product packaging for Bratz Party Dolls, manufactured by MGA Entertainment, may mislead children about the characteristics of toys. -
6/25/2012 - CARU Recommends CEC Entertainment Modify Chuck E. Cheese Website to Better Protect Children’s Privacy
The Children’s Advertising Review Unit has recommended that CEC Entertainment, operator of the website www.Chuckecheese.com, take steps to better protect of the privacy of child visitors to the site. -
6/21/2012 - CARU Recommends Idea Village Modify Broadcast Ad, Website for Wuggle Pets
The Children’s Advertising Review Unit has recommended that Idea Village modify certain broadcast and Internet advertising for the company’s child-directed “Wuggle Pets” toys. The company has agreed to do so. -
5/17/2012 - CARU Recommends Skechers Discontinue Claims for Girls’ Toning Shoes; Company Does So
The Children’s Advertising Review Unit, in a case of first impression, has recommended that Skechers discontinue certain advertising claims made in broadcast advertising and on product packaging for the company’s “Active Club Shape-ups For Girls,” a toning shoe for girls. -
4/27/2012 - CARU Recommends Clearwater Aquarium Modify Website to Better Protect Children’s Privacy
The Children’s Advertising Review Unit has recommended that Clearwater Aquarium, operator of the Seewinter.com website, modify the website Seewinter.com to better protect the privacy of child visitors to the site. -
4/27/2012 - CARU Refers Toy Quest Advertising to FTC for Further Review
The Children’s Advertising Review Unit has recommended that Toy Quest, maker of the “Land Sea Adventure” inflatable swimming pool, modify product packaging to depict adult supervision. The company, which participated in CARU’s review of its packaging, declined to accept the recommendation. CARU has referred the matter to the Federal Trade Commission for further review. -
4/10/2012 - CARU RECOMMENDS PLAYMOBIL MODIFY BROADCAST ADVERTISING FOR ‘GRAND MANSION DOLLHOUSE’
The Children’s Advertising Review Unit of the Council of Better Business Bureaus has recommended that Playmobil modify broadcast advertising for the Grand Mansion Dollhouse to assure child viewers better understand what toys are included in each purchase. -

The Children’s Advertising Review Unit of the Council of Better Business Bureaus has recommended that Jay at Play modify broadcast advertising for Little Miss Muffin products to assure child viewers better understand what toys are included in each purchase.
