The National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus has recommended that Born Free LLC discontinue certain advertising claims, including claims that the product minimizes or reduces colic and middle-ear infections. -

The Children’s Advertising Review Unit (CARU) of the Council of Better Business Bureaus, Inc., has recommended that Topps Company Inc., modify the Ring Pops section of its Website to clearly disclose that games available to children on the site are advertising. -

The Children’s Advertising Review Unit (CARU) of the Council of Better Business Bureaus, Inc., has recommended that Crayola, the maker of the “Color Explosion Glow Board,” modify broadcast advertising directed to children to better disclose what items come with the initial purchase. -

The National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus has referred advertising claims for Bene-Via, a beverage marketed to people over 50, to the Federal Trade Commission for further review, following the company’s decision not to participate in review of its advertising. -
3/29/2011 - CARU Recommends Shred Sled Modify Advertising To Depict Use Of Safety Gear; Company Agrees To Do So

The National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus has determined that Mega Brands Inc., can support certain “washability” claims made for the company’s “Board Dudes RX Washable” dry-erase markers. The claims at issue were challenged by Sanford L.P., the manufacturer of EXPO washable dry-erase markers.
