    The  Children’s Advertising Review Unit of the  Council of Better Business Bureaus (CARU) has recommended that Roblox modify its Website, www.roblox.com, to better protect the privacy of child visitors. The company has done so.
  • 2/12/2009 - CARU Reviews Website Operated By Matter Group

    The Children’s Advertising Review Unit (CARU) of the Council of Better Business Bureaus, Inc., has recommended that Matter Group, LLC, modify the Website www.xeko.com to assure the site is in compliance with CARU’s self-regulatory guidelines for children’s advertising and the federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA.) The company has taken steps to do so.

    The Children’s Advertising Review Unit (CARU) of the Council of Better Business Bureaus, Inc., has recommended that Cartoon Doll Emporium, LLC, modify the Website www.cartoondollemporium.com to assure the site is in compliance with CARU’s self-regulatory guidelines for children’s advertising and the federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA.) The company has taken steps to do so.

    The National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus has recommended that Procter & Gamble modify or discontinue certain advertising claims for “Swiffer Dust and Shine Furniture Spray.”

     The National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus has recommended that the Dannon Company modify or discontinue certain advertising claims for “Light & Fit 0% Plus Yogurt.”
  • 2/10/2009 - CARU Reviews Advertising For Triops’ Grow-Your-Own Dinosaur Kit

    The Children’s Advertising Review Unit (CARU) of the Council of Better Business Bureaus, Inc., has recommended that Triops Inc. modify packaging for its “Triassic Triops” grow-your-own dinosaur kit, to assure child consumers understand that distilled or bottled water is required.
  • 2/09/2009 - NAD Refers Advertising For Central Coast Nutraceuticals “Colotox” To FTC, FDA For Review

    The National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus will refer advertising for Central Coast Nutraceuticals “Colotox” to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for further review, following the company’s failure to respond to an NAD inquiry.
  • 1/26/2009 - Unilever, GFA Brands Participate In NAD Forum

    The National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus has recommended that the Unilever discontinue advertising claims for its Promise Brand Soft Spread that suggest or state the product has been endorsed by cardiologists. Unilever has said it will appeal the NAD’s decision to the National Advertising Review Board (NARB).

    The National Advertising Division of the Council of Better Business Bureaus has recommended that D’Artagnan Inc. discontinue certain advertising claims made for the company’s Artisan foie gras.
