The Children’s Advertising Review Unit (CARU) has recommended that CEC Entertainment revise disclosures associated with its Chuck E Cheese “Golden Ticket” promotion in television and website advertising. The company has agreed to comply with CARU’s recommendations. -

The Children’s Advertising Review Unit (CARU) has recommended that the Kellogg Company revise product packaging for the Kellogg’s Fruit Flavored Snacks featuring cartoon characters from popular children’s film and television shows. -

The Children’s Advertising Review Unit has determined “Boy’s Life” Magazine did not blur the line between editorial and advertising content when it featured “Captain America: Civil War” action figures, made by Hasbro, in its “Collect It” section. -

The Children’s Advertising Review Unit has recommended that International Playthings, the maker of Aquabeads Ultimate Design Studio modify its television advertising to better disclose drying time for the crafting product. -
4/26/2016 - CARU Recommends Spiral Toys Modify Broadcast Ad, Modify Privacy Practices; Company Says it Will Do So
The Children’s Advertising Review Unit has recommended that Spiral Toys, the maker of Cloud Pets plush toys and operator of the attendant Cloud Pet mobile application modify its television advertising to better disclose that batteries are not included with the toy and modify its privacy practices. The company has agreed to do so. -

3/02/2016 - CARU Recommends Rovio Modify Privacy Policy to Better Disclose Actual Practices, Company Said It Will Do So
The Children’s Advertising Review Unit has recommended that Rovio, developer of The Star Wars Angry Birds App I and II and Angry Birds Rio App, modify its privacy policy to better disclose the company’s actual privacy practices. The company said it will do so.
