4/28/2015 - CARU Recommends Bravo Sports Depict Safety Gear, Supervision in Future Scooter Ads Directed to Children Under 12
The Children’s Advertising Review Unit has recommended that Bravo Sports discontinue advertising certain Pulse Electric Scooters, recommended for children ages 13 and older, to children under 12. -
4/23/2015 - NAD Reviews Advertising for P&G’s Crest ‘Sensi-Stop Strips’ following Challenge by GlaxoSmithKline
The National Advertising Division has determined that the Procter & Gamble Co., can support certain claims for the company’s “Crest Sensi-Stop Strips” product, which is designed to address tooth sensitivity. -
4/23/2015 - NAD Finds Bayer Can Support Certain Claims for Claritin, Claritin-D; Recommends Advertiser Discontinue ‘Nothing Works Faster’ Claim – Bayer, Chattem to Appeal
The National Advertising Division has determined that Bayer Healthcare LLC can support a wide range of advertising claims for the company’s Claritin and Claritin-D products, including that Claritin-D begins to work in 30 minutes. -
4/16/2015 - StriVectin Revises Disclosure in Print Ad in Response to NAD Inquiry
In response to an inquiry from the National Advertising Division, StriVectin Operating Company, Inc., has modified print advertising for the company’s StriVectin Intensive Illuminating Serum to better disclose to consumers the basis for certain quantified performance claims. -
4/16/2015 - NAD Recommends SquareTrade Modify, Discontinue Certain Claims; Finds Company Can Support Certain Modified Claims
The National Advertising Division has determined that determined that SquareTrade, Inc., can support certain revised savings claims for the company’s “SquareTrade Protection Plans,” but emphasized the company’s responsibility to monitor the marketplace to ensure that the savings claims remain accurate. -
4/09/2015 - NAD Reviews Advertising for ‘Danish’ Butter Cookie Made in Indonesia; Recommends Distributor Discontinue Claims
The National Advertising Division has recommended that Takari International, Inc., distributor of Danisa “Traditional Butter Cookies,” discontinue certain advertising claims for the product. -
4/08/2015 - NAD Examines Claims for Kimberly-Clark’s ‘Huggies Little Snugglers’ Following Challenge by P&G
The National Advertising Division has determined that Kimberly-Clark can support certain claims for the company’s “Huggies Little Snugglers” diapers, but recommended the advertiser discontinue its “unbeatable skin care” claim. -
4/07/2015 - NARB Panel Recommends Neogenis Laboratories Discontinue Certain Claims for Neo40 Daily Supplement
A five-member panel of the National Advertising Review Board (NARB) has recommended that Neogenis Laboratories, Inc., discontinue certain advertising claims for the company’s Neo40 Daily dietary supplement. -
4/07/2015 - CARU Recommends Jump Start Modify Website, Revise Privacy Policy to Better Comply with Guidelines, COPPA
Jump Start, operator of the website www.schoolofdragons.com, said it will revise the site’s privacy practices and its privacy policy, following an inquiry from the Children’s Advertising Review Unit.
